John Henry Hall Sr., age 78, of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 19, 1944 in Jackson County, North Carolina to the late Ralph and Della Sutton Hall.
John attended Sylva “Webster” High School. He drove a milk tanker for Hunter Dairies. Worked at Burlington Mills and retired from Ti-Caro Rex Mills in Ranlo, North Carolina.
John was a man of faith, who loved God and was a strong Christian. Even though there were obstacles in his life, he never complained nor waivered. He served and was a member of Ranlo Church of God, Iron Station Church of God and Lowell Church of God throughout his lifetime.
John proudly served in the United States Navy. During his later years he was involved with the Lions Club.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife, Patricia Spears Hall; brothers, Jesse Hall, Jennings Hall, and sister, Evelyn Hall Barnes.
He is survived by his sons, John Hall, Jr. and Jeff Hall; grandchildren, Logan Hall and Preston Hall.
A visitation for Mr. Hall will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park with funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm. A committal service with military honors will immediately follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
