Jimmy Blair Dill

Jimmy Blair Dill, 76, of Gastonia, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Gaston County and was the son of the late George and Louise Hawkins Dill.

Mr. Dill was a long time employee of Southeastern Range Parts, Gastonia. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

Mr. Dill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sue Peeler Dill; two daughters, Cathy VanAntwerp (Peter), Rock Hill, Patty VanAntwerp(David), Gastonia/Elkin; two brothers, Danny Dill (Ann), Georgia, Ron Dill (Shirley), Florida; 5 grandchildren, Jamie Payton (Caleb), Peter VanAntwerp II, Tyler VanAntwerp, David VanAntwerp, Jr.(Meghan), Katy Amos (Rick); 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Carothers Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at The Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Sherer officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with Military Honors by the U. S. Navy and Gaston Honor Guard.

Mr. Dill was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Dill, Jr.
