Gary "Curt" Propst

Curt had a heart of gold and cared deeply for those in his life, both friends and family the same. Enjoyed hunting, joking with others, and watching his favorite westerns.

Curt was born on August 18, 1945 in Gastonia, North Carolina to the late David Henry Propst Sr. and the late Irene Elizabeth Propst. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his lovely wife of 44 years, Ruby Propst; daughter, Linda Passmore; and siblings, Margie Propst, Ralph Propst, Mae Proctor, Betty Atkins, Junior Propst and Bill Propst.

A visitation for Curt will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Dr, Gastonia, NC 28054. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 1:00 pm at North Gaston Church of God, officiated by Pastor Andy Nicholson, 1310 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034. Burial will follow at Westview Gardens Cemetery, 1123 Edgewood Rd, Bessemer City, NC 28016.

Survivors include, son in law Doug Passmore, grandchildren, James Passmore and wife Clara, and Anthony Passmore; siblings, Frank Propst, Edna Stiles, Linda Lewallen and husband Jerry, Darrell Propst and wife Sue, Larry Propst and wife Evelyn, and Roger Propst and wife Donna.
