Faye (Lemons) Dunn, 75, passed away peacefully at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas on Monday morning January 7, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Faye was a devoted Christian. She was a loving mother to three sons, a wonderful grandmother and aunt. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents – Paralee Brunettie Moore and Archie Jackson Lemons and brother Lance “Snap” Monroe Crisp and grandson Jason Lawrence Dunn.
Left to cherish her memories and to carry on her legacy are hers sons: Barry Lemons and wife Valitas and their son Aaron, Steve Dunn and his wife Beth and their sons Jacob and Savana, Matt and Misty and Jeff Dunn and his wife Kellie and daughters Amber and her husband Chris, Kaylei and their son Jeffrey. Faye leaves behind three great-grandchildren.
Grieving Faye’s loss are her siblings Vannoy Stewart and husband Jeff, Jack Lemons and wife Becky and Dearl Lemons and wife Brenda. Several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews will miss their Aunt Faye.
A celebration of Faye’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday January 11, 2019 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. before the service. Pastor D. R. Shortridge, of Dallas Church of God, will offer words of encouragement and hope as family and friends celebrate the homecoming of Faye. Burial will follow the Celebration of Life Service at Gaston Memorial Park, in the Garden of Prayer.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made in Faye’s name to The Dallas Church of God, 311 S. College Street, Dallas, NC 28034.
