SKELTON, William Edward “Billy”, of Mineral Springs passed away Thursday at the age of 67. Billy was one of 12 children born to Jim and Clara Skelton from Mineral Springs, Alabama. Billy loved hunting, fishing, digging ginseng and collecting things. He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Clara Skelton, brother, Don Skelton, sisters, Elrena Lynch and Patsy Farris. He is survived by his daughters, Janie Boren (Fred) and Jennifer Perryman (Maury, Sr.); grandchildren, Olivia Boren, Russell Fred Boren, III, Maury Perryman, II and Madelyn Perryman; brothers, Jimmy Skelton, Charlie Skelton and Kerry Dale Skelton; Sisters, Peggy Garst, Gail Dunn, Carol Parker, Joy Brown and Susie Griffith. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 3rd, 2013 at the Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 2:00pm with a visitation beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in the Bivens Chapel Cemetery in Brookside.
