William "Bill" Elias Rouse

William Elias (Bill) Rouse, age 92, passed away on September 28, 2020 at Harbor Chase in Jasper. Graveside services for the family will be held on October 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama. There will be no visitation.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Eloise Bankston Rouse; daughter, Janet Scott; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Rouse. Survivors include his children, Gary Rouse (Judie), Johnny Rouse and Laura Glover (Terry); Son-in-law, Everett Scott; Brother-in-law, Phil Bankston (Mary); grandchildren, Matthew Rouse (Candice), Nickolas Rouse (Jennifer), Neely Dean (Devin), Jennifer Hight (Jimmy), Bradley Glover (Jessica), Brian Glover (Hailey), Benjamin Glover (Kristi), and Blake Glover. He also had 12 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rouse started working for Jefferson County on October 16, 1950 and retired as Chief Right-of-way agent after 37 years. He was a member of Antioch Church of Christ and served as an elder for over 40 years.

The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Harbor Chase for the wonderful care and love he received while a resident there. They also want to thank Kindred Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
