She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Hattie Crouch; sisters, Lorene Smith and Annette Sansing Hodges.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Walter Edgar Moore, Jr; sister, Frances Crouch; children, Mona Gay, Tammy Jones, Jeff Moore (Wendy) and Susan Atwood (Mark); grandchildren, Nathaniel Wayne (Amanda), Jonathan Gay (Cindy), Rachel Gay, Jennifer Bibb (Keith Morris), Lia Martin (Josh), Sarah Bibb, Emily Moore, Rebecca Moore, Hunter Ricketts (Anastasia) and Tristan Atwood; 18 Great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Friendship Church of God in Hayden, AL.
A visitation for Virginia will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Virginia will be laid to rest in Remlap Methodist Cemetery, 17259 Remlap Drive, Remlap, AL 35133.
