Viola was a longtime member or Gardendale First Baptist Church.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Velma Roberts; her loving husband, Walter Bailey, and a brother, Paul Roberts, Jr.
Viola is survived by daughters, Deborah A. Peinhardt (Keith), Susan K. Phillips (Frank), and Darla J. Dews (Richard); sons, Robert Michael McCormick (Marquetta), and Russell D. McCormick (Tina); a brother, James Roberts; eight grandchildren, Jason Lee (Sherry), Ashley Drake (Brandon), Christie Hesse (Joe), Patricia Stiglet (Patrick), Blake Phillips (Riley), Jessie Mendiola (George), Whitney Crow, and Amber Dews; 21 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Celebration of life services will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a time of visitation to begin at 2:00 PM; service at 3:00pm, followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
