August 4, 1920 – April 13, 2021
Louise passed away very peacefully at the ripe old age of 100 after being a resident of Somerset Court of Mocksville, NC, for almost 2 years.
Her humble beginnings began in Birmingham, AL, the eldest child born to Italian immigrant Leon, and wife, Eula Sears. She survived both parents, both siblings, William Sears and Elizabeth Sears Knight, both husbands, Guy Lee Weldon and George D. Keller, and her eldest daughter, Ramona Gail Weldon Dunlap. Her second child, Debbie Weldon Embler and her husband, Archie Embler, live in North Carolina.
She lived in her own home that she and her first husband built in Forestdale, AL for 68 years, during which time she raised her daughters and attended Hillview Baptist Church. She loved cooking and her yard work there, and loved caring for lost cats which wandered up to her home.
In 2018 she moved to live with her daughter, Debbie, until her health began to fail. We wish to thank Somerset Court for their love, care and compassion during the final years of her life.
There will be a graveside service at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Alabama, on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association,1 Billy Graham Pkwy, Charlotte, NC 28201.
