Paula Dean was born in Mobile, AL and was a resident of Warrior, AL. She passed away at the age of 71. She received her Masters of Education from UAB and enjoyed a career as a teacher at Hayden High School. She was a member of the Gardendale First Baptist Church and her passion was her family and spending time with her grandson. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. William and Esther Fussell and a brother, Lt. William R. Fussell, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Laine Bailey; sister, Faith Valenta (Glen); grandson, Brenden Bailey; special nephews, Rich Valenta and Rush Valenta; other nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Services will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Monday, March 21, 2016 with a visitation to begin at 12;00pm; funeral service at 2:00pm followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
