.Olivia C. Wheeler, age 98 of Gardendale passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2016. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She always put the needs of her family before herself. Mrs. Wheeler was a charter member of the Gardendale Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe H. Wheeler. She is survived by her sons, Burt H. Wheeler (Linda), Doyce R. Wheeler (Paula), and Basil Wheeler (Joyce); her daughter, Yvonne Jackson (Buddy); grandchildren, Brock Wheeler (Susan), Paul Wheeler (Nancy), Michael Wheeler, Seth Wheeler, Caleb Wheeler, Sonya Crane (Jay), Susan Dunn (Allen), and Stacey Jain (A.J.); great grandchildren, Kayla Thompson (Grant), Kelleigh Crane, Mary Crane, Avery Dunn, Addison Dunn, Jake Wheeler, Ashley Coburn (Charles), and Anna Kate Wheeler.
Services will be held at Gardendale’s Church of the Nazarene on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1 PM with a visitation beginning at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Rev John Parrish and Lamar Smith will officiate.
