Of Gardendale passed away, Saturday at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Mae Cook and her husband, Claude Rice; Sisters, Marie Summerford and Mildred Cook; Brother, Charles E. Cook. She is survived by her Daughter, Rebecca Ann Rice; Brother-in-law, Fred Rice (Mewell), Nephew, Howard “Tommy” Summerford (Charlotte); Niece, Carolyn S. Dunn (Jack); several great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family extends special thanks to the staff at the Covenant Place of Gardendale for their loving care and support provided to Julia Mae.
A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 5th from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a Graveside service in the Hopewell Community Cemetery in Hanceville, AL on Wednesday, Nov. 6th at 10:00am.
