Jewel Dean Heron

Born April 5,1932 in Haleyville, AL. Jewel went to be with her Heavenly Father and beloved husband and son on October 3, 2024. She was the widow of JT Heron. They shared 69 beautiful years of marriage and had 4 children together. Jewel was a faithful servant at Decatur Highway Church of Christ.

Jewel was a mentor in the Lads to Leaders and Leaderettes program, and a dedicated student of the Bible herself. She and her husband, JT, supported many missionary efforts around the world and Por Los Ninos Orphanage. Jewel was a loving mother and grandmother.

Jewel is survived by her daughter, Becky Moore (Kenneth), sons David Heron (Bethany), Bruce Heron (Vicki), Gregg Jennings; grandchildren, Deana Triplett (Ron), Lora Roberts (Ron), Ken Moore, Heather Kemp (Charlie), Holly Ware (Jordan), Davis Heron, Paige Heron, Reese Heron, and Gabe Jennings; great grandchildren, Emily Swanger (Jake), Jessica Robbins (Zach), Ashley Robbins, Taylor Kemp, Mallory Kemp, Caroline Kemp, Levi Ware, Liam Ware, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers send donations to Decatur Highway Church of Christ for Middle Eastern Missions.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Internment follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Dora, AL.
