Jean is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years and 10 months, Joe Hicks, with whom she built a life filled with love and commitment. Together, they raised two daughters, Renee Chism and Lori Hicks-Glazner (George), who were the light of her life.
She was also a proud grandmother to Robert S. Brantley, Jr. (Jessica), Kalyn Speck (Forrest Doles), B.J. Brantley (Kourtney), and Spencer Speck, and adored her great-grandchildren: Coleson Brantley, Levi Speck, Warren Brantley, Sawyer Brantley, Kynleigh Brantley, Kade Brantley, Avalynn Brantley, Kylee Denney, Kelsi Denney.
Jean is also survived by her beloved sister, Barbara Shipp, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.
Jean’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was deeply devoted to her husband, Joe, and dedicated her life to caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love for them was endless, and they, in turn, were her world.
