James Jeffery Stovall

James Jeffery “Jeff” Stovall passed away on Sunday, September 17th, 2017 at the age of 56. Jeff was a wonderful father, son, grandfather, and friend who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. He was a member of Gardendale’s First Baptist Church and was employed with WalPar. Jeff was also a graduate of Gardendale High School and UAB’s School of Engineering. His greatest enjoyment other than his family was joining his friends playing bluegrass music on his banjo and guitar. Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hessie Dean, Willie Lou Dean, Billy G. Stovall, step-grandmother, LouElla Stovall, and Nell Stovall. He is survived by his son, James J.D. Stovall and his wife Michele; his daughter, Emily A. Stovall; Parents, James E. “Jim” and Virginia Ruth Stovall; grandchildren, Aliciya Higdon, Isaiah Stovall, and Evelyn Stovall; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Thursday evening at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 6 until 8 PM followed by chapel services on Friday beginning at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville, AL.
