James “Jack” Duncan, age 87, of Mount Olive, Alabama passed away Monday, April 25, 2022. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After which, he enjoyed a long creative career as a jeweler. Jack was a member of Sharon Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings, and his wife. Jack is survived by a loving daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jack never met a stranger; he loved and was loved by many. He was happiest when playing a practical joke and the refrain, “That Jack Duncan”, was often heard in his wake.
There will be a graveside service in Jack’s memory, for family and close friends, Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 11:30AM at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in Jack’s memory.
