In her early years of marriage and as her children were growing up she transported the community children to little league practices and games so that they would be able to play ball. She love to argue with the referees and let them know when they made the wrong calls. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she loved her family dearly.
Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, James Scott Bolden, Sr., and she was the youngest, and the last remaining, of seven children born to her parents, August and Mamie Kasulka.
Lucille is survived by her three children; Liz Bolden Black and her husband Michael Black, Ray Bolden and his wife Sue Bolden, and James "Jimmy" Bolden, Jr. and his wife Darlene Bolden; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several other family members and a host of friends.
Celebration of life services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Alabama 35071; with a time of visitation to begin at 1:30 PM: a celebration of life service at 2:30 PM followed by her burial at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
