Frank and his twin brother, Floyd, were next to the youngest in a family of 6 children of the late William R and Bessie Miller Malone. Frank received a degree in Education from Birmingham Southern College prior to entering the US army in 1953, where he was stationed in Europe. He was employed as a Safety Supervisor for Pullman Standard in Bessemer and then as Safety Supervisor for Alabama Power Miller Steam Plant in West Jefferson.
Mr. Malone was a life long member of Gardendale Methodist Church / Gardendale Mt Vernon United Methodist Church where he taught a Sunday School class for over 50 years. His building projects and leadership positions in his church were numerous and truly his joy. When he could no longer teach, his SS class honored him by naming the class after him - The Frank Malone class.
Mr. Malone was predeceased by his siblings, Alvie Malone, George Malone, Reverend Carl Malone, Floyd Malone and Willie Mae Malone Morgan.
Frank was a loving son, brother, father, and husband. Frank and Judy Sanderson Malone were married for 56 years. Their children, Mark David Malone and Carrie Elese Malone Moore (David) and grandchildren, Alexandra Malone, Eli, Emory and Natalie Moore are the loves of their lives.
A Memorial service will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Gardendale Mt. Vernon UMC/Hope Community Church, 805 Crest Drive, Gardendale, AL 35071.
