Dwight Wilson

Earl Dwight Wilson, 70, of Hayden Alabama went home to be with His Lord on Saturday, Nov 11, 2017. He is survived by Bobbie Roberts Wilson, his loving wife of 51 years; Son, Jeff Wilson (Daphne); Grandson, Evan Wilson (Catey); Great Grandchildren, Madden and Turner; Sisters, Jeanette Cotner (Bobby), and Barbara Witcher; Father- in-Law Therold Roberts; Brother-in-Law Jimmy Roberts; several nieces and nephews and his beloved Jack Russell, Sassy. He was preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Gladys Wilson; a Brother Bill Wilson; Mother-in-Law Myrtle Roberts; and a Sister-in-law, Teri Roberts.

Originally from Cullman, Dwight served seven years with the Alabama National Guard, achieving the rank of Staff Sargent. He was a long time member of Hayden First Baptist Church and a 35 year retiree of CLP/McDonald's. An avid deer hunter, he loved spending time with friends and family and enjoyed always offering a warm welcoming home. He will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel Tuesday, November 14th, from 6 until 8 pm ( 2029 Decatur Hwy); Chapel services will be Wednesday, beginning at 11 am and followed with interment at 2 pm in Bethlehem West Missionary Baptist (102 County Rd 1215 Vinemont, AL 35179).
