Dorris L.Sisson, age 77 of Gardendale passed away peacefully on Monday, April 23, 2012. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Olive and was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry O. Sisson; parents: Arthur and Marguerite Glass; brother, Bob Glass. Survivors include her son, Paul (Tamara) Sisson; brother, Bill Glass; sisters: Essie (Jimmy) Chandler, Ruth Perry and Jessie Atkinson; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; close friends: Scott, Donna and Adele Wilson and Jeffrey Garrison. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with interment in Oakwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
