Betty June Carrier Booker

Betty June Carrier Booker, age 89, of Gardendale, Alabama passed away at home on Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was was born in Evergreen, Alabama on August 7, 1932. She retired from Carlstedt Wholesale Florist in Birmingham after 32 years of service. She was s faithful member of Gardendale First Baptist Church for more than 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Buford Owen Booker. She is survived by one daughter, Diane Broom (Phillip), one grandson, David Broom (Laura), and two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Jane Broom. She is also survived by two brothers, Walter Carrier (Freda), Wayne Carrier (Janaine) and a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her dear friend Shelly Hudson.

Th family would like to give special thanks to Comfort Care Home Health and Comfort Care Hospice for the care they provided during the past months.

The family will receive visitors on Friday morning, February 4, 2022 at 10:00 am at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. Funeral services for Mrs. Booker will follow at11:00 am in the Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Legg and George Weeks will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
