Anthony J Alesce, age 67, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Anthony a lifelong resident of Birmingham, growing up in the Ensley area. He was employed at Central Camper (Ensley) and then Bruno's, where he worked at the warehouse until he retired. The past several years he worked as a maintenance worker at Carson Village Community, where he also was a resident. He was a avid Alabama fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. For the last several years he began rescuing animals, especially dogs, where he found his faithful companion, Taco. What he lacked in formal education, he more than made up for it with his work ethics, kindness and generosity to others. His family will miss his "crazy antics" that he would do. He cared deeply for his family. Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Claude A. Alesce, his sisters Bena Alesce Davis, Maria Alesce and Ann Marie Alesce. He is survived by his mother, Rosalee Schefano Alesce, his sister Camilla Taylor (Bobby) and his brothers, Michael Alesce (Rhonda), Joseph Alesce (Michele) and Claude Alesce (Sherry) and many nephews and nieces and cousins. He is also survived by his long life friend, Debbie Marshall.
