Mr. Drury was born in Burlington, Vermont on August 25, 1955 to the late John H. and Betsy G. Drury.
He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1979. During most of his career he was employed with Gulfstream Aerospace until he took early retirement in 1998. David loved working in his wood shop building furniture and other useful items. His compassion was auto mechanics and watching Formula One racing. He loved anything with an engine. After years of learning about the investment world, he became confident enough in his abilities to dismiss his brokers and become a private investor for the Drury household.
David was raised to be self-reliant and dependable. These were traits that would serve him well throughout his life.
Mr. Drury is survived by his wife Cheryl A. Drury of Callawassie Island, SC, his sister Anne D. Eaton of San Felipe, Mexico, his beloved cat, Lambchop (aka Scooter), and several aunts & cousins.
