Tyler James Schaefer, 21, of Gahanna, Ohio passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Tyler graduated from Oakstone Academy and was attending Columbus State University. Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry Schaefer. Tyler is survived by his partner Darcy Jutagir; Mother, Tamra (Sean) Meister; Father, James Schaefer, brother; Jacob Schaefer and sister; Abby Meister; Grandparents, Evelyn Schaefer, Diane and Samuel Luft; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tyler was beautiful beyond what most could ever conceptualize. few could truly understand him. Tyler breathed magic into life and made everything feel so alive. stepping into his imagination was one of the greatest blessings he offered. Tyler loved music, he loved animals, he loved seeing what the world had to offer. He lived his life how he wanted. Tyler was always longing for a better world, every thought he gave was a gift, he always knew what to say and how to be there for the person he loved. Tyler could tame hurricanes with his words and his wisdom. His presence was like a warm ray of sun hugging your shoulders. His smile and laugh filled your heart with hope. His voice was like showered soil, longing for life to weave itself through the cracks in his skin and breathe air into his words. He wanted to be heard, and he wanted to share his love with the world. Tyler will forever be loved and his gifts to us will never be forgotten.

A visitation for Tyler will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
