Born in Columbus to Alberta and Harry DePew, Shirley met her high school sweetheart, James “Jimmy” Stahl at Columbus North High School. Soon they married and together, they enjoyed 69 years of life and love.
Throughout her life, Shirley played various roles: receptionist, typist, dog breeder, wife and mother.
She was a firecracker and a social butterfly who loved conversation, family, dogs, and, of course, Lipton iced tea.
Her generous spirit and laughter will be remembered by her family and friends for years to come. She is survived by her husband, Jim, two sons, Scott and Richard, and four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Shirley’s visitation and memorial service will be held at Havens Corners Church officiated by Rev David Allison and Rev. Richard C Stahl. While she loved pink and white roses, donations can be made in her name to Havens Corners Church in lieu of flowers.
