Nancy M. Himmer

Nancy M. Himmer, age 83, of Blacklick, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023. She was born on October 15, 1939 in Bloomington, Illinois, a daughter to the late Richard and Leatha (Woodward) Thomas. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. As a Coaches wife, she found herself loving the world of sports, especially basketball. Nancy was a selfless, special and classy lady. She spent over 20 years teaching her beloved elementary school students. In her free time she loved to be in the kitchen, making her signature Hungarian dinner dishes and pastries. Nancy’s family was her world, whether it be from sewing homemade dresses and clothes for them to spending time with her grandchildren and her one great-grandchild. She also loved to spend quality time with her loving husband of over 62 years, Lou and their two dogs Bentley and Bailey. Lou and Nancy always did everything together. In addition to her husband and dogs, Nancy is survived by her two loving daughters, Kristie (Mike) Knox and Tammie (Matt) Erick; grandchildren, Brianna Knox (Dayne) Wall, Alexa Knox, Luke Knox, Noah Erick, and Malea Erick; great-granddaughter, Charlie Wall and sister, Linda Ruhl.
