Lenora G Reed

Lenora G. Reed, age 90 of Gahanna, peacefully passed away on May 7, 2023. She was born May 19, 1932, in Logan, West Virginia. A daughter to the late Watt and Jane (Goodman) McComas. Lenora had one of the biggest hearts, being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and even great great grandmother. Her dedication to her family was one of a kind. Holidays in her home were always a big deal, any chance to get the family together was time well spent. She loved to cook, her “fan favorites” being her vegetable soup and her sausage gravy. She was a proud, strong southern Baptist who was dedicated to her faith. Lenora was always singing; at one point she was a part of the McComas Quartet. She will be remembered for her talented green thumb, and her family will miss watching Hallmark movies and game shows with her. In addition to her parents, Lenora is preceded in passing by her loving husband of 34 years William. Left to cherish her memory are her 8 children, Sheila (Dan) Finck, Genene (Mike) Dowdy, Lori (David) Nichols, Michael (Rashid) Reed, William Tartal, Francis Tartal, Virginia (Ron) Limes, and Sharon Page; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Friends may gather at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST -1051 E Johnstown Rd. Saturday, May 13, from 1 PM to 3 PM. Her funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, May 15, beginning at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment at Mifflin Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Lenora's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
