She was born on March 23, 1954 in Canton, Ohio the third daughter of five children to Paul “PJ” and Wanda (Watkins) O’Herron.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband, Dr. Michael T. Czuba.
She is survived by her daughters, Holly (Jason) Czuba and Laura (Gracie Bird) Czuba; siblings Patricia (James Brady) O’Herron, Donna Karr, James (Brenda) O’Herron, and Stephen (Kim) O’Herron; as well as 10 nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and great-nephews; and her cherished grandson, Harris Michael Olson, who always brought a smile to her face.
Kathleen had a beautiful soul, was a loving mother, and cared deeply about the people around her. She had obstacles placed in her path but always had so much love to share, which she did for as long as she was able. Kathleen’s quality of life was altered tremendously following a stroke 30 years ago, but her beautiful soul and her expressions of love never disappeared. She mailed everyone she loved greeting cards, stickers, stamps, and the amazing “1-handed potholders” that were a treasure to all who received them.
She also enjoyed watching Dr. Pol on Animal Planet, regularly watched The Catholic Channel and Million Dollar Listing, loved feeding and watching the birds, caring for her cats, and spending time with her daughters. She was a hospitable host - She often gave her guests the remote control to pick what they wanted to watch, or she would choose a channel that matched her visitors’ interests.
Through our grief, we still rejoice, knowing that she finally has the peace she so desperately longed for. She is free from her disabilities, free from her pain, and reunited with PJ, Wanda, and her loyal canine companion, Kelly.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 1pm-3pm at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Her memorial service will follow visitation, beginning at 3pm.
