John C Tabor

John C. Tabor, 87, of Gahanna, passed away on June 28, 2022. He was born in Berwind, West Virginia on May 22, 1935 to Albert and Ruby Tabor. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Albert “Bert” Tabor and sister, Mary Ann Schellenger.

John will be remembered as a kind, humorous man who could make a joke in any situation. In addition to serving his country in the U.S. Navy, John spent many years working as an English Professor for Columbus State Community College, where he eventually retired with the title of Professor Emeritus. More than anything, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

John will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Nancy Tabor; son, Eric (Angie) Tabor and daughter, Julie Harris; grandchildren, Jackson and Caroline Harris; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 2nd from 11am-2pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E Johnstown Rd, Gahanna.
