Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 in the Collier-Butler Chapel for Vernell T. Johnson, 85, of Gadsden, who died Friday, November 02, 2012. Rev. Kenneth Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Cherokee Memory Gardens in Centre, AL. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Carnes Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Cecil Terrell, Walt Terrell and Charles Terrell Jr., and parents: Charles Terrell and Anna Bell Terrell.
She is survived by her son: Rodney Dale (Faye) Johnson of Ohio; daughters: Vickie (Larry) Moon, of Centre, Cindy (Danny) Smith, of Centre and Regenia (Tommy) Hardin, of Southside; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister: Hazel T. Valentine, of Gadsden, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
