Peggy Blevins Wall

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Peggy Blevins Houk Wall, age 82, of Gadsden, with Bro. Greg Bledsoe officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home will direct.

Ms. Wall transitioned peacefully to her eternal home Tuesday, December 6, 2022. She was born on November 17, 1940, and was a 1959 graduate of Emma Sansom High School. She attended Howard College (Samford University) and graduated from Gadsden Business School. She worked as a receptionist for several doctors in Gadsden.

She was a beloved Mother, Granny, and Sister. She was a very talented artist. She gifted her family and friends with beautiful artwork throughout her life. She was an early member of the Gadsden Art Association, and her work was displayed for Mental Health Awareness Week at our state capitol in Montgomery. She loved fashion, creative photography, crafting, doll collecting, and was an avid shopper. She was a Christian and especially loved celebrating Christmas and all it represents.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Myrtle Blevins; sisters, Myra Bynum, Mary Nell Moore, and Loretta Blevins.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Robin (Greg) Alred; son, Gavin (Lynne) Houk; grandchildren, Claire (Taylor) Latham, Raven (Sam) Wise, Madelyn (Billy) Steele, Layken Houk and Baylor Alred. Great grandchildren, Lennix Latham, Salora Latham, Orion Steele, River Wise, and Bonnie Steele. Chosen brother and sister, John Alred and Brenda Pillitary Patterson; and several nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

Pallbearers will be Layken Houk, Baylor Alred, Matt Moore, Taylor Latham, Billy Steele, and Sam Wise.
