Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. today-Monday-October 11, 2010 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Mary Evelyn Holliday, Gadsden AL who passed away Saturday-October 9, 2010 after an extended illness. Rev. David Carroll will officiate with burial at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing. Mrs. Holliday resided at #11 Dwight Avenue for 60 years and had been employed at Dwight Mills, Inc. She enjoyed working with flowers and quilting. Those who preceded her in death are her parents, Flora Patton McWaters and James McWaters, sister, Jewel Nix, brothers, Wyatt and John McWaters and sons-in-law, Horace Charles Coley and Tommy R. Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Sheliva Holliday Coley, Gadsden and Paulette H. Johnson, Rainbow City, sisters, Lois (Orville) Jackson, Huntsville, Nell Scott, Villa Rica, GA and Rena (Carl) Grant, Gadsden, grandchildren, Susan (Rocky) Bigham, Alpharetta, GA, Horace Coley, Jr., Gadsden, Marlene (Randy) Lively, Acworth, GA, Michael (Kelly) Johnson, Rainbow City, Kasey (Dwayne) Marlow, Collinsville, 12 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. The family would like to express their thankfulness to Shepherds Cove, Marshall County Hospice and Dr. Sanchetti.
