Visitation for Mr. Fowler will be held Monday, March 29, 2021, from 5pm – 7pm at Collier-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Gadsden, AL.
Funeral services and the Celebration of Life for Marvin Earl Fowler will be held at Collier-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services in Gadsden, AL starting at noon on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, with graveside services to follow at Noble Hill Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. L. Dale Butler.
Marvin Earl Fowler was born and raised in the valley and played in the hills near Noble Hill in Attalla, AL. There he attended the Attalla public school system but left at an early age to help support his mother and siblings. In his early adulthood, Marvin left Attalla and moved to Hammond, Indiana to work in the Chicago Steel Mills and was a member of the Teamsters Union. There he married and had three children before retiring as a local truck driver and moving back to his hometown of Attalla, AL to be around his family. Marvin was a quiet, loving, kind hearted, told it like it was man, that will forever be missed.

Marvin Earl Fowler was preceded in death by his parents William Earl Fowler and Mattie Wessie Hedgecock. His brothers Lelton (Pete) Fowler, Jimmie Mack Fowler, and baby brother Fowler. His sisters Carolyn Sue Fowler, Genine Holcomb, and Katherine Doris Page. His oldest son, Glenn Farmer and his great-granddaughter Mackenzie Alizabeth Beightol.
He is survived by his three children Patricia Richards (David) of Shreveport, LA, Earl Fowler of Plano, TX and Melissa Fowler of Richardson, TX. Grandchildren – Jessica Rottab, Samantha Cole and Sadie Lynn Fowler. Great-grandchildren – McKaylin Beightol, McKinley Shuflin and Lucas Cole. Grandpups – Phoebe and Lily Fowler. Sister – Betty Presley; sister-in-law, Charlotte Fowler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
