He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Molli French Grigsby and children Lori Grigsby, John Grigsby and Tod Grigsby.
Dr. Grigsby was a professor of Electrical Engineering having taught at Auburn University and Virginia Tech.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
