Larry D. Kidd

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Larry D. Kidd 72, of Gadsden, who passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Bro. Danny Kidd will officiate. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mr. Kidd retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 46 years of service. He was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. He loved bulldogs and horses. His wife whom he dearly loved was his high school sweetheart.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Hazel Kidd; parents, L.D. and Opal Kidd; and sister-in-law, Pat Kidd.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Hazel Kidd; son, Keith (Michelle) Kidd; granddaughters, Kimberly “Catie” Kidd, Britney Kidd, and Summer Kidd; great-granddaughter, Carleigh Kidd; brothers, Don (Special friend, Shirley) Kidd, Danny (Billie) Kidd; niece, Kayla Coffman; nephews, Michael, Kevin, Kasey, and Jason Kidd; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Kasey Kidd, Kenny Wright, Aaron Strickland, Jason Kidd, Jace Lee, and Terry Pentecost.

Honorary pallbearers will be Don Kidd, Danny Kidd and Larry Pentecost.
