Larry was a lifelong resident of Southside, Alabama and the youngest of 17 children. He graduated from Southside High School in 1967, where he played baseball, basketball and football (Coach Bear Bryant wanted him to play football for him). On August 5, 1967 he married his high school sweetheart, Peggy. He later graduated from Gadsden State Community College and worked at Goodyear for 48 years. Larry almost always had a garden and could fix almost anything. He also loved fishing, snake catching and especially deer hunting. He loved aggravating to the point you never knew what critter he would scare you with. Larry always put his family first, never wanting to miss anything his kids or grandkids did.
