Mrs. Johnie B. Moore, 86, Gadsden, AL passed away May 24, 213. She was born in Sardis, AL on October 28, 1926. She graduated from Sardis High School and attended Snead College for a short time. She was married to Charles K. Moore on July 18, 1944. She worked as a secretary for the Gadsden City Board of Education and as a receptionist for Drs. A.L. Ennis and William Simpson.
Johnie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles K. Moore, son and daughter-in-law, Frankie and Jan Moore, parents, John B. and Cordelia Chamblee, sisters and brothers-in-law, Clorene (Brown) Hallmark, Walcie (Frank) Roof, Flossie Chamblee, brother, Kenneth Chamblee, brothers and sisters-in-law, Merrill (Pauline) Moore, Toby (Sylvia) Moore, sisters-in-law, Lorraine Patty and brother-in-law, Robert Moore.
Johnie is survived by daughter Jean (Larry) Smith, Southside, AL, granddaughter, Susan Smith, Tuscaloosa, AL, grandson, Jeremy (Ardis) Moore, Destrehan, Louisiana, great grandsons, Brock Moore and Connor Boudreaux, Destrehan, Louisiana, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to caretakers, Jenny Hallmark, Darlene Reed, and Judy Hallmark, Hair Dresser Donna Smith and Gentiva Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2013, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Dr. Richard Trader will conduct the services. Music by Grady Norton. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. No graveside services will be held. Flowers or donations to charity of choice will be accepted.
