Jane Brown Adams

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Black Creek Baptist Church for Mrs. Jane Adams, 81, of Gadsden (Black Creek Community) who went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. She will lie-in-state from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Rev. Gary Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Jane was born on April 24, 1934 to her mother, Nellie Bone Bailey. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years, P.M. Adams; mother, Nellie Bone Bailey; and step-father, Fred Bailey.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Paula (Phillip) Sitz, of Gadsden; grandsons, Seth (Emily) Sitz, of McCalla; Brett (Kayla) Sitz, of Birmingham; great-grandchildren, Maddox Jane Sitz and Jackson Ryan Sitz; and beloved pet, Dudley.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Adams, Keith Cochran, Ewell Adams, Ronnie Bone, Calvin Sanders, Tommy Lewis, and Gerald Foster.

A special thanks to the SICU nurses and staff of Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

The family will accept friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. this evening at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
