Dorothy M Miller

Mrs. Dorothy Knight Miller, 88, Gadsden, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Collier-Butler Chapel. Tom Hodge and Kevin Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Forrest Cemetery.

Collier-Butler Funeral Home & Cremation Service in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Miller was a faithful, longtime member of East Gadsden Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She was very family- and church-oriented and loved spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Miller Jr.; grandson, Scott Cornelius; son-in-law, Ronald Cornelius; parents, William D. Knight and Martha Knight; three sisters; and five brothers.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter, Joan Cornelius; granddaughter, Paige Cornelius Weber; sister, Betty Thompson; brother, Earl Knight; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Special thanks to the staff of Mountain Cove Assisted Living, Amedisys Hospice Staff, Loving Caregivers who treated her as family, Marie, Trix, Barbara, Penny, Frances, Elaine K., Elaine, Ruthie.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday.
