Vicki was born on July 15, 1946 in Fulton, MO the daughter of Paul and Margaret (Holloway) Lorenz. On February 1, 1969 in Fulton, MO she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Dreyer, who survives her passing. She attended Fulton High School and graduated in 1964. Afterwards, she went on to Mizzou, where she met the love of her life, Jim. She always said the way to have a long, loving marriage was to never go to bed angry and to always kiss each other goodnight.
Vicki was employed as a Sales Representative and Graphic Designer for The Fulton Sun for 25 years. She was a Christian and a member of the Callaway Christian Church, where she was baptized on May 18, 2008. Vicki was a big talker and would strike up a conversation with anyone; she didn’t know a stranger and would always find the good in everyone. She was very artistic and loved doing artwork for church events, vacation bible school, and the Kingdom Christian Academy. She would create the most beautiful pieces using just cardboard and spray paint. Vicki served the Missouri Department of Conservation by checking in the deer and turkey harvest for numerous years making each hunter feel like their harvest was a trophy. Vicki loved watching football and baseball, mostly the Cardinals, Chiefs, and MU Tigers. She had a huge heart for all animals, especially her kitties and dogs. Vicki had a beautiful soul and was truly an angel on earth.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Wendy Trowbridge (Fred) of Auxvasse, MO and Nicki Dreyer of Columbia, MO; four grandchildren, Justin (Miranda), Jessica (Ethan), James (Alyssa) and Jenna; six great grandchildren, Brayden, Emma, Savannah, Jaxsyn, Luke and Brelynn and several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her church family. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Dean Lorenz and Jay Lee Lorenz.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Debo Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Kummer and Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the Callaway Christian Church 2051 Silver Drive in Fulton following the service and all are welcome to join the family in celebration of her life.
