She was born on July 18, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Darrell Lee and Mary Ann (Kanatzar) Butcher. On March 11, 1998, in Joliet, Illinois, she married Glen Allen Baker, who resides at the home. Tamula worked for the Cole County Circuit Clerk’s office as a court clerk, and a Notary Public. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society. She was an excellent cook, loved to travel, and go camping and hiking.
Survivors include her husband, Glen; her mother, Mary Ann Butcher, Fulton; a son, Timothy (Kristina) Lowman, Channahon, Illinois; a step-daughter, Marti (Ryan) Krieger, Lockport, IL; a step-son, Warren Baker, Joliet, IL; six grandchildren, Connor Lowman, Kailey Lowman, Addison Lowman, Ben Baker, Coral Krieger, Avi Krieger, Lily Baker a sister, Cherryll (Philip) Mann, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and two brothers, Timothy Butcher, Fulton; and Charles (Cathy) Sims, Lees Summit.
She was preceded in death by her father, a sister, Judy Burkhart, and a brother, Darrell Butcher, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Debo Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
