Paul was born on May 31, 1949 in Callaway County, MO the son of David and Ida (Means) Branham who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the US Marines serving from 1968-1970. On November 27, 1970 in Fulton, MO he was united in marriage to Doris Hilt who preceded him in death on July 29, 2020. He retired from the Fulton State Hospital as a security aide in 2000. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Paul was an avid outdoorsman, and loved hunting, fishing and cutting wood. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fulton, MO, where he was ordained and served as an elder. Paul and Doris were married in time and eternity on June 9, 2018 in the St. Louis Temple.
Paul is survived by five sons, Greg Branham (Jessica) of Fulton, MO and John Branham (Christen) of Auxvasse, MO, Marcus Spears of Troy, MO, Warren Spears (Jennifer) of Auxvasse, MO and Billy Spears of Fulton, MO; one daughter, Sara Lair (Sarah Willow) of Colorado Springs, CO; 19 grandchildren, Ariel, Daniel, Justin, Krista, Keshia, Sydney, Lily, Chloe, Shawn, Gavin, Zachary, Mariah, Annalynn, Kimmy, Taylor, Jeremiah, Riley, Ashton and Mariana; four great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Jasper, Abraham and Merry and many other extended family and friends whom he loved and cherished. He was also preceded in death by one infant brother. .
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fulton, MO from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the church with Bishop Gary Nevels officiating. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, MO.
