Martha was born in Southwest City, Missouri, the second daughter of Hazel and Tom Nichols. Her high school years were spent in Bentonville, Arkansas.
She married Ovid H. Bell in 1946 and moved to Fulton. She is survived by three children; Mary of Avondale Estates, GA, Jane of Fulton, and John of Fulton, five grandchildren; Lara Ryan of Mexico, Seth Bell of Tampa, FL, J.P. Ackerman of Monarch Beach, CA, Jordan Burt of Fulton, and Daniel Bell of Fulton, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and a nephew in Arkansas and Arizona.
Over the years, Martha volunteered for many local organizations including Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, First Presbyterian Church, Ecumenical Ministries Meals on Wheels, the Callaway Hospital, and various other programs. She enjoyed travel in all varieties and anywhere.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22, at 10:00 am, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am, at Debo Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
