Lucille was born on November 13, 1924 in Eureka, MO the daughter of Fitzhugh Robert Boren and Esther Jospehine (Pfeiffer) Boren who preceded her in death. She was married to Donald “Pete” Raymond Doty who preceded her in death in 1992.
Lucille loved her family. She enjoyed visiting and talking with everyone. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing vegetables. Getting her hands in the dirt was fun for her. Lucille and her husband always had a large garden which they shared with everyone. They owned South Callaway Locker in the 1960’s. She enjoyed watching the birds, cardinals were her favorite. It was important for her to be by trees, often talking about them. Lucille called herself a country girl, being in nature and in the country was her favorite place to be, especially with family. Lucille loved flowers - enjoyed planting them and always had plants in the house. She was passionate about animals, loved them all, big and small. Cats and dogs were her favorite, she always had pets. She would’ve had a large farm with lots of animals if possible. Purple and red were her favorite colors. She usually had on a flannel shirt, comfort clothes were her favorite. Baking, cooking, along with sharing and enjoying food with friends and family were always important to her.
Survivors include: her five children, Lynn Bonuchi (David) of Eldridge, MO, Pete Doty (Freda) of Fulton, MO, Pat Doty (Terri) of Fulton, MO, Pamela Cave (Dan) of Holts Summit, MO and Sam Doty of Owensville, MO; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Donny Doty and Darrell Doty; four brothers, Robert, Don, Henry and Dalton and three sisters, Esther, Dorothy and Shirley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Debo Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery, New Bloomfield, MO.
