Evelyn Mae Hopkins

Evelyn was born on October 31, 1924 in Liberty, TN the daughter of Oba and Ethel (Spencer) Drake who preceded her in death. On May 12, 1947, she married Monroe Hopkins, who also preceded her in death. She retired from the City of Fulton where she worked for 22 years and served as the City Clerk for 17 years. Evelyn was a devoted member of Richland Baptist Church for many years while Monroe was the pastor there, then later joined First Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, reading and loved the St. Louis Cardinals. Evelyn was very passionate about her family and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include: one daughter, Laura Bolton (Ray) of Fulton, MO; one brother, Tom Drake; two sisters, Vada Bell (Joe) and Jo Kulka (Bob); one grandson, Scott Bolton; two great grandchildren, Mikayla and Ethan and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Glen Drake.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, MO. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Richland Baptist Cemetery.
