She was born in Fulton, Mo on March 18, 1941 to the late Clayton Peterson and the late LaFern (Becker) Peterson. On October 30, 1981, Dolores married her loving husband of 39 years, Jerry Powers, who survives her passing.
Dolores loved listening to country music with Jerry and her cat, Buddy. Her hobbies were mowing the lawn and working on puzzles. Most of all Dolores enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Dolores attended Reform Church of God Holiness.
Dolores will also be remembered by her son Darrell (Sylvia) Horstman; grandson, Cameron Horstman; daughter, Sandy (Ken) Marriott; sisters, Janet (Ronnie) Mealy and Karen (TJ Lamons).
Dolores was preceded in death by brothers, Darrell and Clyde Peterson and her first husband Richard Horstman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton, MO. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis West officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
