Carol was born on November 2, 1939 in New Bloomfield, MO the daughter of Sam Turner and Vinita (Becker) Lawson who preceded her in death. In 1957, she graduated from New Bloomfield High School as the class Valedictorian. She was united in marriage on November 22, 1963 in New Bloomfield, MO to Lester H. Brockman who preceded her in death in 2017. She was a faithful member of New Bloomfield United Methodist Church since 1951, where she played the church piano and organ for over 50 years. Carol so loved all things music, and she accompanied several youth for many years for various events throughout Callaway County. She retired in 1991 from GMAC in Jefferson City as an accounting clerk after working there for 30 years. She enjoyed knitting and her flowers and animals on the farm, especially her dog, Kelly. She volunteered for several years as a teacher’s aide because she loved children and also volunteered for hospice.
Survivors include: her brother, Larry Lawson (Linda) of New Bloomfield, MO and nieces Dawn Glick(Allen), Dalene Baker(Randy), Dezra Lawson, and Heather Vandergrift, and nephews Eric Lawson, Sean Lawson(Carie), and one very dear nephew-in-law Mike Davis.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dale Lawson.
A small service will be held at a later date, as she had a great Celebration of Life earlier.
