Carl and Julie were married on June 16, 1984, at the First Baptist Church in Fulton. They have three children with families, with whom Carl saw frequently and loved. He loved seeing and spending time with his grandchildren: Audrey Owen (9), Alaina Owen (7), Jensen Owen (3), and Kaitlyn Gordon (2) as well as his niece Taylynn Rex (2). Carl drove a milk tanker for a living until he retired.
Carl bought lemonade at stands to make little kids happy, which was one of many things he did that showed his nature. He loved talking to people sharing stories and listening as well. He loved driving his John Deere tractor and loved to fish and hunt and just spend time outdoors. He would joke and say, “Glad you got to see me!” He was a strong family man who showed his family he loved them not just in words but in a thousand actions. Aside from being close to his family, he was extremely close to his brother Marc. He also loved and spent a lot of time with his mother and father-in-law John and Carolyn Rex. More than anything, Carl believed having a personal relationship with Jesus is most important for all.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 26, at 2:00 at Hopewell Baptist Church in New Bloomfield, Missouri with Dr. (Brother) Bobby Snow officiating. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church, c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court St, Fulton, MO 65251.
