Barbara was born on October 19, 1953, in Golden Eagle, IL the daughter of Florence (Bragg) Herter who preceded her in death. She owned several small businesses. Most recently was Green Acres Bar and Grill and then Barbie’s Bar and Grill for several years near Reform, MO before retiring. Barb enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was gardening, fishing, horseback riding or boating. She adored spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Family meant everything to Barb, her closest friends were her brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews. Barb was very well known for her sense of humor, and it was important to her to make others around her laugh. Additionally, she loved cooking, not just professionally but she felt like her cooking had the power to unite people!
Survivors include: three sons, Chris Herter (Nicole) of Columbia, MO, James Wagoner (Ericka) of Reform, MO and Nick Wagoner of Reform, MO; four brothers, Michael Herter of St. Charles, MO, Allen Herter (Donna) of St Charles, MO, David Herter (Sherrie) of Moscow Mills, MO and Robert “Pete” Herter of St. Charles, MO; three sisters, Pauline Kuchler of St Charles, MO, Carol Trendley of St Charles, MO and Joan Anglin (Bill) of St. Charles, MO; three grandchildren, Sasha Herter, Ella Herter and James Wagoner III and the father of her three sons and companion, James Wagoner of Reform, MO. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Christine Schrader and Virginia Burkett and two brothers, Jim Herter and Eddie Herter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home. Private family graveside will be held in Reform Cemetery in Reform, MO.
