Sharon Elisabeth Peterson

Sharon Elisabeth Peterson, 36, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at Kaiser Anaheim Hospital surrounded by her immediate family after complications from Ovarian Cancer diagnosed 3 months ago. Sharon was born on May 21, 1981 to Scott and Janice Peterson in Southern California. She grew up with 3 sisters and 2 brothers and graduated from Ayala High School in 1999.  She attended Brigham Young University and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching Education.  During student teaching, she realized that teaching in a classroom wasn’t for her.  In 2004, she started working full time for the family business, Delta Elevator Co. Inc. as office manager (extremely valued) which she continued till December 2017 when her health deteriorated.  She was a calming influence and never raised her voice but had a quick wit to bring a smile to your face. Sharon loved her family and friends. Always at family gatherings, being the favorite patient aunt who played games with the nieces and nephews, not wanting the lime light but always there ready to help anyone in need, loved nugget ice, creative in word and deed, full of love and laughter, and fully invested in knowing her Savior Jesus Christ and demonstrating his qualities.  She knew she was a daughter of God. Sharon is survived by her parents, Scott and Janice Peterson; her siblings: Ginneice (Joshua), Christy (Michael), Carrie, Preston (Breanne), and Lance; her nieces and nephews: Aislynn, Callista, Ellie, Keegan, Carter, Shayla, Troy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who love her dearly. Her funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Anaheim 1st Ward, LDS building, 440 N. Loara Street, Anaheim, CA  with a viewing at 9:00am.
